Van Ardi translates as ‘Sun of Van’, referring to the ancient capital of Armenia where Varuzhan Mouradian’s ancestors are from. Varuzhan moved to armenia in 2008 to pursue his dream of making wine in Armenia after having lived in the US for many years. The result is a boutique estate winery based near Ashtarak, less than an hour Northwest of the capital, Yerevan. Since its inception, the estate has operated based on organic principles, and has achieved Organic Certification through Ecoglobe, the local agency that serves as the USDA National Organic Program’s Accredited Certifying Agent.

WHITE

When Armenia was absorbed into the Soviet Union in 1921, the identity of many Armenian varieties was obscured and eventually forgotten. Due to the Soviet demand for brandy, fermented fruit juice gained anonymity, and many vineyards were replanted to mazimze yields. Varuzhan is one of the winemakers who has shifted the focus to indigenous, high quality grape varieties.

RED

Van Ardi Areni Reserve is a premium, 100% Areni Noir dry red wine from Armenia’s Aragatsotn region, produced by Van Ardi boutique winery. It features a deep ruby color with bright red berry aromas, notes of black pepper, plum, and earthy undertones, typically aged for 12–14 months in Armenian or French oak. Known for its elegant, full-bodied structure, it highlights volcanic terroir.

Voskevaz Voskehat ‘Karasi Collection’ is a premium Armenian white wine made from 100% indigenous Voskehat grapes harvested from old vines (up to 100 years) in the Aragatsotn region. Fermented in traditional clay karas (amphorae) and aged in local oak, this unfiltered wine offers a creamy texture with notes of citrus, pear, white cherry, acacia, and toasty, smoky undertones.

WHITE

The Voskevaz Areni Noir ‘Karasi Collection’ is an Armenian red wine made from 100% indigenous Areni grapes, fermented in traditional clay amphorae (Karas) and aged in Karabakh oak barrels. It is known for its elegant, medium-bodied profile, featuring bright red berry flavors, soft tannins, and a long finish.

Voskevaz Haghtanak Karasi Collection is a robust, full-bodied Armenian red wine made from 100% Haghtanak grapes (Vieilles Vignes). Fermented in traditional clay karas (amphorae) and aged in Armenian oak, it offers intense aromas of dark berries, plum, vanilla, and smoke, featuring mature tannins and high alcohol.
