
Vina Chocalan Carmenere Grand Reserva
Appellation: D.O. Maipo Valley, close to Maipo River coastal Area. Chile.
Grape Varietals: 85% Carmenère, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.
Vinification: Meticulous grapes and berries selection on the sorting table. Cold prefermentative maceration at 8ºC during 7 days, in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at 26-28ºC with selected yeasts. After fermentation, the wine stays for 6 to 8 days in contact with the skins.
Aging: 60% of the blend has been aged in French and American oak during a period of 10 to 12 months, depending the integration of the tannins and the evolution of the wine.
Tasting Notes: Origen Carmenère Gran Reserva have a purple red color. Aromas of black fruit, spice and licorice are complicated by bitter chocolate and vanilla. Rich and smooth, with chewy texture. Juicy and fresh palate dominated by blanc plums and spicy character. Finishes full, creamy and long.
Pairing: Lamb, game meat, or cheeses.

Vina Chocalan Cabernet Reserva
Appellation: D.O. Maipo Valley, close to Maipo River coastal Area. Chile.
Grape Varietals: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon,; 5% Merlot ; 5% Syrah.
Soil: Piedmont soils of the Coastal Mountain range: granite origin and clay loam texture.
Vinification: Cold maceration during 3 days 8ºC Fermentation at 26-27ºC with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks. 40% aged for 4 to 5 years in old French. Final aging in American oak barrels for 6 month.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red color. Polished, soft, well-rounded, and elegant with expressive layers of dark red and black berries, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, tobacco, and ends with a long, pure silky finish.
Food Pairing: cheeses, meat stews with sauces, roast beef, grilled lamb, pork and barbecues.

Soil: Granitic, clay and loamy flat soils of medium depth.
Climate: This vineyard is exposed to the Pacific Ocean which has a great influence on the wine due its closeness to the sea and to the Maipo river. The foggy mornings and smooth breeze during the afternoon help to refresh the vine. Mild Mediterranean climate with temperature between28/29°C and 12/13°C as minimums during December and March.
Vinification: 40-50% in French and American oak barrels during 6 months & the rest in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes: Dark purple color. Aromas of mint, blackberry fruit and plums. Rich and smooth, with a meaty, chewy texture. Peppery and chocolate accents are complicated with notes of smoke and vanilla flavors. Finishes with a lingering taste.
Food Pairing: Stewed red meat with spicy sauces,
roast beef, grilled lamb or pork chop.

Vina Chocalan Vitrum Red Blend
Brilliant and deep ruby red color. A powerful and expressive nose, sweet and spicy notes. This wine offers ripe red fruits aromas and jam. Great character and structure in the mouth, it is a bodied wine with a good volume. Soft and firm tannins that provides a high potential of ageing. Creamy, with anisette notes that melts with smoky and chocolate bitter flavors.

Vina Chocalan Alexia
Appellation: D.O. Maipo Valley
Grape varietals: 70% Cabernet Franc, 20%
Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot
Vinification: Hand-picked grapes. Merlot were harvested during the second week of April. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot were harvested during the first and second week of May. Meticulous raw and berries selection on the sorting table. Cold prefermentative maceration at 8 ºC during 10 days, in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic Fermentation with selected yeasts takes place, between 27-28ºC. 100% of the wine was aged during 18 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Powerful deep bouquet combining black fruit, cassis with fresh spice and hint of menthol notes. Well integrated notes of cedar in balance with cherry licorice. Fleshy on the palate, rich and concentrated wine, build on tight tannins that will ensure long keeping. Lush and velvety texture with a long, fleshy finish. Decanting is recommended. Serve at 60°F (16°C).
Food pairing: Bold wine for bold dishes. Steak and casseroles marry extremely well. A wine to also enjoy with hot sauces and hearty
pasta dishes.
