Tasting Notes: Medium-bodied. Brilliant ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is pleasant with good intense rich fruity notes.

The palate is round with soft balanced rich tannins due to its aging in French oak barrel aging. Robust herbal and tobacco-like flavors.

The finish is long and fruity, with a clean aftertaste.

Pairing: red wines like Montepulciano generally pair with a wide variety of foods due to natural elevated acidity. Meats like beef brisket pair nicely alongside rich roasted vegetables.

Grape varietal: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG

Harvest: Grapes are manually selected between the 20th and the 30th of October, in a 35-year-old vineyard in Controguerra with optimal exposure and low yield. The terroir gives the grapes the best thermal excursions that, together with organic techniques of cultivation and aging, enhances the aromatic sensations typical of Montepulciano grapes.

Wine Making: The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks, where it is thermo-conditioned. After the malolactic fermentation, it ages in wood barrels (50 hl) for 8-10 months, and then in bottle for 6 months.

Tasting notes: Brilliant and ruby red color. The presents nice and persistent fruitiness, with notes of vanilla and dry fruits. Bakan DOCG represents one of the most balanced expression of red wines from Abruzzo. The palate is soft, harmonic, round and full bodied.
